My name is Mimi Reza, and I am running for the MPS Board of Directors to represent District #6, located in the near south side of Milwaukee. This district is home to one of the most economically underserved areas of the city, but also to schools that are facing overcapacity--- and issue not as prevalent in other parts of the city. Despite these challenges, our bilingual education programs have flourished, offering a model for success where bilingualism should be seen as a strength, not a challenge, and should be supported across all schools in Milwaukee.
